The Difference is Clear...
Viridian Green Lasers Are Much Brighter!
The Viridian green laser sights allow for use in any lighting conditions, day or night, indoors or outdoors, allowing users to track targets a lot quicker and a lot more accurately than any other laser sight system. Green lasers are naturally more visible to the human eye, so it’s easier to perceive the color green over red. Also, let’s not kid ourselves, Viridian green laser sights are just plain cool! Viridian laser sights are offered for a variety of different models, Glock, Walther P99, Walther P22, Springfield XD and Taurus 24/7; soon to be released HK USP.
All Viridian Green Laser Sights come equipped with SMARTLASER Technology. SMARTLASER Technology was developed in coincidence with local SWAT teams to offer the most versatility and functionality ever before seen in a laser sight.
SMARTLASER Technology:
Tactical teams wanted separate modes of operation for individual laser detection. The modes include 1 constant beam and 3 pulsing beam modes. Changing the modes while the laser is in use is effortless so you can always stay on top of your target. The four modes that come ready to use on each laser are;
1.Constant Beam
2.Low Speed Pulse (5 pulses per second)
3.Medium Speed Pulse (7 Pulses per second)
4.High Speed Pulse (10 Pulses per second)
Battery life always plays a big part when choosing a laser, with approximately 4+ hours in constant beam mode (maximum visibility) and 7+ hours in the pulsing modes. When the battery reaches a low level, it will blink every 10 seconds letting you know that a new battery is needed.There is also a power down timer incorporated within the Viridian laser sight. If there is ever a time that you forget to shut down the laser sight, or is turned on for any reason, no problem, the Viridian green laser sight will shutdown itself saving you from buying more batteries.
Why Green Lasers are more Visible
Green is closer to the center of the visible spectrum, at 532 Nanometers, so it's easier for our eyes to perceive the color vs. a red laser at 635 Nanometers. In fact, a green laser can appear as much as 50 times brighter than the red equivalent and as can be seen from the below charts 532 nm is the ideal wavelength to maximize visibility during day or night.

In Daytime Conditions the human eye has maximum
sensitivity at the 555 nm wavelength
In Nighttime Conditions the human eye has maximum
sensitivity of 512 nm wavelength
